Service Description

Learn how to practice and incorporate a daily Pranayama practice that can enhance your overall wellbeing and improve your health. What can you expect from this practice? -Increased cardiovascular health -Increased respiratory health -Decreased stress levels -A calm mind -A balanced and more adaptable nervous system -Deepened inner awareness -An alternative way to access meditative states -Improved digestion and elimination -Better handling and regulation of our emotions -Increased energy levels These methods are tried and tested. Yogis have practiced these techniques for hundreds, if not thousands of years. I myself, practice this routine every single day. I find it completely invaluable in accessing a calmer state of mind, ESPECIALLY on the days when my mind won't be quiet. These practices can help lower general levels of anxiety, stress and blood pressure. These techniques have even been found to help those with Asthma and respiratory problems. In this course, we'll go over the scientific grounding of these techniques. As well as the mechanics of breathing and learn to understand how the breath affects the mind, and body. Alongside the scientific backing of these techniques, we'll also look into the Yogic viewpoint of Pranayama, learning to understand what it is, where it comes from, and how it can be a path to a calmer, more responsive and more present way of living. Before we meet up as a group to go through the practice, and talk science and methodology, we'll learn the practice in a 1-1 setting so you can ask any questions beforehand. We can get to know each other and your intentions for coming on the course, so I can understand how to best support you on this journey. You'll be joining a community of likeminded people, who are wanting to explore and implement the most important tool in our own wellbeing, the breath. For your first session, you can book into a time that suits you. Alternatively, you can get in touch and we can arrange a different time if none of the ones I have available suit you. The group meet up will be on the next day, Saturday, from 11am until 2pm. Please note: The 1-1 is available online, the group portion must be attended in person.
