Your practice, your way.
Thinking of private lessons?
Yoga is a vast subject, with so many different styles and methods. It can get a little confusing. The thing is, I believe, yoga can help everyone, however, a public class might not be best suited for you.
Pick a vinyasa class for example, it can be fast paced, and full of people of varying different abilities, meaning not much time to figure out what you're doing, as you're doing it. There also may not be a lot of time for asking your teacher about certain postures or certain techniques that you're practicing. From my own experience, this is a bit of putting. I like to dive deep into things, and truly understand what it is I'm doing, why I'm doing It, and is it even really the best idea or practice for me.
Through trial and error, going from class to class, it could take you years to find the right practice, or even the right teacher. Not every teacher is going to resonate with you, just like how not every practice is going to work for you either.
That's where private lessons can come in. I can offer a range of different yoga practices to help and support you. To either deeper an already existing practice, help you gain a bit more mobility and free movement, or to begin a breathing or meditation practice.
I won't try and box you into one style of yoga.
Our bodies, minds, and needs are FAR more complex than that. I believe in individualised practices, teachings, and passages through yoga. We all have our own unique ways of thinking and doing things, even every bodys skeleton varies slightly from the next, meaning that one way of performing a posture or practice, might not work for someone else.
I want to help you in your practice, and in whatever way that might be.
Here's ways I can currently offer yoga, specifically to you:
Pranayama and breathing practices
Mindfulness practices and yogic philosophy
There's various ways I can help. From the physical, to the metaphysical. From body, to spirit.
Our approach together can evolve and ebb and flow to suit your needs week by week, or even practice to practice. One of the main things I want to help you understand, is how to feel confident in your own body and practices, how we get there is what we'll work out together.
Maybe you have an injury that knocks your confidence about going to a regular class, and you want something a little more specific where you'll feel like your individual needs will be met. This is something I can also help with.
If you're interested in working together, fill out the form below and I'll be in touch as soon as I can.
Private classes are £30 for an hour session.
